The Recorder of Military Service Awards has supervision over all matters pertaining to bestowal of Crosses and Medals.  We begin at the Chapter level who sends her work to the Division Recorder who sends her work to the Recorder General.  The United Daughters of the Confederacy honors Veterans and Active Military Personnel.  We bestow military service awards to those veterans and active military personnel who have Confederate Ancestors who fought bravely for the Confederacy during the War Between the States.  By honoring the descendents of Confederate Veterans we also honor our Confederate Ancestors.   In our Ritual, we renew the vow “to do homage unto the memory of our gallant Confederate Defenders and to perpetuate the fame of their noble deeds unto succeeding generations.”
