The Florida Division President, United Daughters of the Confederacy,
shall be the Executive Officer of the Florida Division and shall preside at all meetings
of the Organization, including the Executive Committee and the Executive Board. She shall
appoint Standing and Special Committees, except the Nominating Committee. She may remove or
replace any non-functioning committee chairman or committee member upon approval of
two-thirds (2/3) of the Executive Committee. She shall fill all vacancies occurring in office
except that of President and Vice President subject to the approval of the Executive Committee.
Should a vacancy occur, she shall promptly recall all equipment, supplies, and material pertaining
to the vacant office and she shall designate to whom they shall be sent.
She shall supervise the work of all officers and committees and shall be a member ex-officio of all
committees except Nominating. She shall approve all orders on the treasury, countersign all bank
documents except those checks made payable to herself, and discharge all duties as usually pertaining
to the office of President She shall present a condensed report of the year’s work at Florida Division
Annual Conventions, excluding finance. She shall represent the Florida Division at the United Daughters
of the Confederacy General Convention following her election, and in the absence of the retiring President,
she shall read the report of the past year’s work. The Division President shall cast the balance of her
Division’s votes upon instruction. At the end of her term she shall proof read the Minute Book for printing.
