Our members live up to the objects of the organization which are Historical, Educational, Benevolent, Memorial, and Patriotic. We are an active group, involved in many activities and projects on the Chapter, Florida Division, and General levels; Patriotic being at the top of the list. Our meetings, held September through May, are well attended, the programs interesting and of a historical nature, and we usually have lunch following the business and program. Tampa 113 is also the proud sponsor of the Belles & Beaux Chapter 887, Children of the Confederacy that always has several exciting Patriotic projects on-going. June 3, 1897 is a special day for our chapter as it is the day we were chartered. The by-laws of the UDC state that “those eligible for membership are women at least 16 years of age who are lineal or collateral blood descendants of men and women who served honorably in the Army, Navy, or Civil Service of the Confederate States of America, or gave Material Aid to the Cause.” Tampa Chapter 113 invites you to join with us. We are a warm, friendly group with members of all ages. If you are interested in UDC and would like to be part of a vibrant chapter involved in interesting and important projects, please contact June Busby Bolen 813-685-4026 jbolen@mindspring.com
